After 25 years of selling pumpkins on Johnson Ferry (almost literally on the road), the pumpkin patch is now safely located off the lower parking area...
Emily was the line leader of the day. She brought an Elmo, lift the flap book, check mix and fig Newtons...a huge hit.
We also read "Small Pig" a story of a farmer and his very tidy wife who cleaned up the pig sty and caused the pig to leave the farm in search of mud. Here we are in our mud puddle getting very dirty. Today's opposite: Clean and dirty.
Puff the Magic Dragon was today's story brought by Sam . He also brought yummy homemade cookies that his Daddy baked! Oh yeah, the book came with a CD and hear the girls are rocking out to Puff...not the original PP&M version, but groovy transcends generations.
Today we went to the Sanctuary for Chapel Time with Pastor Steve. he read the story about the loaves and fishes and the importance of sharing. The children were amazingly well behaved. We also sang, "He's got the Whole World in His Hands" and "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine!"
Kate brought a great snack that kept everyone at the table for 20 minutes. We had cheddar popcorn, banana chips and chocolate graham cookies. The book she brought was Dora's Halloween ....seems we will have 11 Dora's and one swiper for Halloween.
